Would be a great thing to have a waveform drawn on every clip box. While
cutting/joining the video on clips works great (you can move frame by
frame in preview), cutting/joining audio on clips is pretty difficult
(you can't preview audio frame by frame!). A waveform would allow the
identification of audio gaps (at least volume gaps).

And much better if waveform changes according to fades in & out!

Bug description:
  It would be great to be able to separate audio from video.
  It be also be useful to see a visual representation of the material within the clip ie: a filmstrip for video and a waveform for audio.
  I find this feature very useful when using Final Cut but forget buying a mac I'd rather be using THIS on linux.
