[Bug 959414] Re: Video files from Canon DSLRs have artifacts
In that case, this is not something we are able to fix in the OpenShot
source code, as the problem lies within ffmpeg. You can either try
logging this as a bug with ffmpeg/libav, or try a newer build as they
may already have fixed it.

Title:
Video files from Canon DSLRs have artifacts
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
I have video files shot with Canon EOS 60D. They display flawlessly
when played back with MPlayer, Totem, etc. However in Openshot they
have massive visual artifacts. These are visible both in the preview
window as well as in the final exported video.
I'll attach one small sample file to demonstrate the issue. To test,
just create a new project, add the file to the timeline and play.
Tested on Ubuntu 12/04 current beta.
