[Bug 1028792] Re: Package dependencies cannot be resolved

You should try to use the development version to be sure either you use the development PPA (see here : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1850) either you use the trunk without to be installed (see here :http://www.openshotusers.com/help/1.3/en_GB/ar01s29.html#sect2_84).
To my mind, a bug has been fixed with news version of MLT and is present in the both.
After to be sure (secondary method), you have two solutions either wait the stable version (we are in the last straight line for this one) either use the Dev PPA.
Good luck.

Title:
  Package dependencies cannot be resolved

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 Precise.

Openshot was removed from my system by one of the updates I did this
month using Update Manager. When I tried to install it again (from
Software Center), I got this error:

  "Package dependencies cannot be resolved

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

openshot: Depends: python (>= 2.5) but 2.7.3-0ubuntu2 is to be
  installed".

Please let me know (with instructions) if there is any more
information you need that I can give you.
