I upgraded my mlt packages, and I am able to get openshot to startup.  I 
loaded and played a video in it.
Here is what is installed:libmlt4-modules-0.7.8-2.8.1.x86_64

libmlt4-data-0.7.8-2.8.1.noarch

  Process no longer exists: 7907.  Creating new pid lock file.
  mlt_repository_init: failed to dlopen /usr/lib64/mlt-5/libmltavformat.so
    (/usr/lib64/libschroedinger-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: orc_program_append_2)
  Default profile does not exist: DV NTSC Widescreen. Changing default profile to DV/DVD NTSC.

  Detecting formats, codecs, and filters...
  Segmentation fault

  melt-0.8.2-3.1.x86_64
