Re: [Bug 1191378] [NEW] openshot crashes during rendering most of the times on Ubuntu Studio 12.04 fresh install

Hi,
Strange situation. I've got two 12.04 and none issues with on a quad core
and a dual core. You have all well installed.
But there are one difference between you and me : FFmpeg. You are using the
fork of this one : avconv.
This could be explain your issue but that's not sure.
Use this PPA (https://launchpad.net/~jon-severinsson/+archive/ffmpeg) and
update your version of ffmpeg following this FAQ :
https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1040

The other thing that who comes to my mind is the format of your video. But
if you have this problem with mpeg2 and dvix, that's a false road. Your
hardware is a bit light for H264, to my mind.
You could try EnKodeur-Mixeur before to convert your file in DnXHD (done by
a french too and a friend of mine) and retry in Openshot. I've seen Laurent
Bellegarde on the booth Lprod at Strasbourg make this process successfully
with a expensive and modern camcorder where sofware on windows were unable
to use.

Sinon en francais pas de problemes pour moi. :-)
