[Bug 1323462] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 has uninstalled OpenShot with last update

Nevermind. I was having dependency problems due to some broken PPA. I solved that using the method described in this link:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/140246/how-do-i-resolve-unmet-dependencies
Basically, I disabled all my PPA's and then reinstalled openshot.

Title:
Ubuntu 12.04 has uninstalled OpenShot with last update

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and it uninstalled OpenShot and doesn't
  let me reinstall.

The Ubuntu Software Center says that OpenShot depends on Python >= 2.5
and mine is "2.7.3-0ubuntu2.2". The dependency should point to the
"2.7.3" part of the version, but seems to be pointing to the "2.2"
part. I don't know if it is an Ubuntu bug or an OpenShot bug, but now
  I'm unable to use OpenShot.

In Synaptic, when I try to reinstall OpenShot, it says it's going to
remove libmlt6 and melt and will install gtk2-engines-pixbuf and
libmlt5. If I allow Synaptic to do so, it reports that it depends on
melt and on python-mlt5 or python-mlt3 or python-mlt2.

I tried to uninstall all mlt-related packages and try to install
openshot alone, but I get the same messages.

  Thanks in advance.

  Architecture: 64 bits

Installation Method: Ubuntu Software Center / Synaptic
  Melt version: melt 0.9.0-3~sunab~precise1
