I notice that QThread priorities go from 0 to 6. Priority 7 means
inherit the creators priority. Priority 8 is undefined.

My proposal for thread priorities is:

 - Video caching: 3
 - Video rendering: 4
 - Audio rendering: 5
 - User interaction: 6

  Playback continues after pressing pause

  When playing back a project, and pressing the pause button, it takes several seconds before the button changes to the play symbol. After that it takes several seconds before the playback actually stops.
