[Bug 1020673] Re: [Feature Request] Add sound effect to specific part of a clip

None of the files in the blueprint are accessible anymore (at either the
Dropbox or sendspace links), but this request/proposal is pretty much
invalidated by the complete redesign of OpenShot 2.x.

The current OpenShot 2.4.2 has no "sound effect" functionality AT ALL,
clip-wide or otherwise. Audio files can be loaded as separate, discrete
clips in their own right, just like video files, and will play wherever
they're placed on the timeline. Which, if I'm understanding correctly,
enables the OP's original use case and satisfies this request.

Title:
[Feature Request] Add sound effect to specific part of a clip

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  In Progress

Bug description:
Hello all, I noticed that there is no functionality to apply a sound
effect onto a specific part of the clip, but rather it is applied to
  the clip as a whole.

I think this is a required feature for OpenShot in order to reach an
upper level. I, along with another friend, have taken the liberty to
create the required UML diagrams and specifications you might need in
  order to develop this.

All the related UML design documents have been posted to:
  https://blueprints.launchpad.net/openshot/+spec/add-sound-effect-to-specific-part-of-a-clip

  Looking forward to your feedback.

  Regards.
