Re: Frei0r Effects not working via PPA and DEBs

 

Yes, we are going to have to standardize on a version of SOX, since each
version has a different syntax & usage for it's effects.  We might need to
get the source, and add it to our PPA and DEB installers.

I just installed on a 32 bit Ubuntu 9.04 VirtualBox, using just the PPA, and
2 of the SOX effects worked, but the 3rd (i.e. pitch) didn't work because
the syntax was different.

I wouldn't expect the SOX audio effects to crash OpenShot unless you didn't
have it installed with MLT correctly... or something similar to what
happened with Frei0r.
