Just to know if you have installed the package name libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio on your system with synaptic and if it's not the case do it and tried again.

Bug description:
There is no sound when previewing a video. I didn't have the audio on the track muted, and pavucontrol showed no sound coming out of the app.
