[Bug 423550] Re: white flash like frames at end of of clips

AVCHD from Canon HF-100:
1) ffplay plays fine, no flash at the end, seek works intermittently sometimes giving tons of errors like these:
[h264 @ 0xbd1f60]non-existing SPS 32 referenced in buffering period
[h264 @ 0xbd1f60]non-existing PPS referenced
[h264 @ 0xbd1f60]B picture before any references, skipping
[h264 @ 0xbd1f60]decode_slice_header error
[h264 @ 0xbd1f60]no frame!
2) melt, same thing but gives a flash at the end
3) ffmpeg -i:
Input #0, mpegts, from '00014.MTS':
  Duration: 00:00:48.96, start: 0.482433, bitrate: 16288 kb/s
  Program 1
    Stream #0.0[0x1011]: Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Confirmed

Bug description:
When playing most of the imported avi files in the preview pane, they 'flash' at the end. This flashing will also show up when exported. The 'flashes' don't show when the file is played in Totem or VLC.
When I try to trim the scene to get rid of this annoying behaviour, sometimes I can trim it away, but other times new flashing endings appear.

OS: 32 bit Ubuntu 8.04, Kernel 24-24
No build, just installed debs.
