I have added a new method to translate text on some of these classes
that can not use self._(), due to issues with pickling.  Now the
following syntax works great:

_ = self.project.translate

After this is initialized, any method can translate text to the current
locale.  I have fixed the "clip", "track", and "files" classes to use
this new method, and so far it's a big improvement.
