Hi team,
We are spending a lot of time trying to define all logic to retrieve metrics. There is a problem that we cannot solve without some help from Mirantis side. Many connections are finishing without data because of connection timeout, so we cannot fight with this.
The main problem is that there are a lot of metrics and each one is retrieved from a single query and many times it’s not finishing on OpenStack API side. Anyway all queries need minimum 10 seconds to be resolved (the ones that finally resolve).
We are using this following queries with the same bad results:
http://developer.openstack.org/api-ref-telemetry-v2.html#meters
[GET] /v2/meters/{meter_name}
[GET] /v2/meters/{meter_name}/statistics
As you can see, 10 seconds per meter per project it’s a huge amount of time if an installation has to many subscriptions.
If someone could take a look on this it will be very helpful. We are blocked because of this issue.
