Oh sorry , I misunderstood You mean SWIFT!In my test it's failed on virtualbox with multiple-servers The object-sever can't mount specified partition correctly:(
With same configuration on bare-metal. It works smoothly !
But SAIO is working in virtualbox though.

I have 3 vms working with vmware, and I want to install swift to test it on these vms
 should I do any special configuration or i simply use the deployment guide of openstack swift

It works fine in a virtual machine. You should set:
--libvirt_type=qemu
so that it uses software virtualization. Note that the guests will be very slow.
