Re: keystone still has "DEFINE_string" in its middleware/ec2_token.py file
The middleware likely has not been updated. That said, the keystone middleware has been added back into the nova source tree and THAT middleware has been updated. You might need to update your paste config to the new version that is provided with the nova source code.
Devstack also uses the new middleware in the nova source tree.
