Hi Leander,

Looks like a misconfiguration. The base path for nova's instances is 
typically /var/lib/nova/instances, set by the instances_path 
configuration option.

Somehow it is being set to "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/instances", 
which is clearly incorrect.

How did you install your Nova code?
