Sure - I doubt, even if there was somebody willing to start an
implementation of this today, that it would land in F!

I suppose I'm suggesting that: with the possibility of better solution
available, a short-term fix probably shouldn't be implemented, only to
then immediately be taken away from operators in the G/H release ;)
