I will probably take a look at the devstack code, then. But the purpose of nested KVM is to allow direct access to the cpu virtualization extensions of the host machine from a properly-configured guest. That would be ideal.
But all I REALLY want to do is create KVM images, not actually run them. If there's another way to do that, I'll be happy.
