you wouldn't have to download anything besides the script, it does that
for you. But there's no problem with the way you did it either.

Now the scripts gives two errors which seem to be fatal, and the error
log you post shows that the migration stopped in a very early stage if
it ran at all.

The script writes the error log to $branch-dir/migration.log, could you
post that one please?
