Stefan Rijnhart (Therp) proposed the following answer:
If you look at the source of the view definition, you will see that
there is a filter on the report type of the account type. This should be
set to 'expense'. Depending on what version you migrated from, this
could be a new setting that you need to adjust your account types for.
