As I mentioned last night in IRC, I wouldn't be opposed to heading
this up. It seems like a good idea, but we need to come with
"something" to do.

Looking at the traffic in the original reddit thread, I see two Python
engineers, one person who says they can do some Android work (which I
assume means Java/Dalvik stuff), and someone who says they can do
Flash/HTML. Personally, I'm more of a back-end kind of guy, with
Python being my language of choice, but I have done some Android work
as well (semi-reluctantly, not a Java fan :-)

For those wondering my qualifications, my resume
http://files.samhart.net/resume/resume.html and my Ohloh profile
(which shows a small sampling of my Open Source development/leading
experience) https://www.ohloh.net/accounts/Criswell

I have been tinkering with a Sunlight-labs based Python thing (using
the transparency API stuff) but it may be a bit *too* harsh for this
particular thing (I mean, it'd be the equivalent of an animal rights
activist entering a beauty contest ran by a fur coat producer for the
expressed purpose of dropping blood and guts on the stage and shouting
"meat is murder") ... But there may be a way to re-purpose what I've
been hacking at to make it less harsh :-)
