Info on current organizational structure
As requested, here is a quick overview of the current organizational
structure for the development process.
There are essentially two objects containing the information we will use
to coordinate development (three if you count the Drupal itself):
* Launchpad
o This is where all the magic happens. It's a very robust
collaboration system with many many tools.
+ https://launchpad.net/~osdf-devteam - this is team's
page. If you are helping the OSDF you are on this
team. From here you will see a link to our "Related
Project" called "Open Source Democracy Foundation."
You can also add or remove yourself from the mail
list, among other things.
+ https://launchpad.net/osdf - this is the PROJECT page.
Bug reports, current status, blueprints, questions,
all go here, as well as a bunch of other info. This
area can a little overwhelming at first, so take your
time and click around if you're new to it. This area
will also host any and all code related to the
project. For example, the files the make up the theme.
As time passes Drupal modules may be developed by
volunteers. They will all go here. On the right margin
you will see:
# "Report a bug." Bugs are actual problems that
need to be addressed. People will assign
themselves to them so we know who's working on
what. Bugs can be assigned priorities, more info
can be requested, etc. Bugs are problems that
need to be addressed.
# "Ask a question." Unlike bugs, questions are
just questions. If you see something strange or
you just want more info, this is the place.
Questions can be converted to bugs, and bugs to
questions, so don't worry too much about which
one is more appropriate.
* The Wiki (wiki.theosdf.org).
o There is a lot of information on the wiki already, more than
what you see on the front page. Check out
http://wiki.theosdf.org/index.php?title=Special:AllPages
o There is functionality in Drupal that will allow us to use
it as the wiki instead of the MediaWiki software (the thing
that looks like Wikipedia). However, Drupal is still in
development (non permanent) and there may be valid reasons
to have a separate wiki system. This should be left open for
discussion.
o For the time being, rather than transferring all that data
into a very volatile Drupal setup, I suggest we keep on
using MediaWiki. This at least until we have Drupal
"stabilized" and ready for launch.
o Pages to note (all of them are in desperate need of some TLC):

+ All of the above and more can be found at

If anyone has any question at all I'm always available.
