Re: doc tests
Hi Sergio (and all),
Tuesday November 24 at 10:00am GMT-3
(refer to http://timeanddate.com/s/1fyg ) to find your time zone. We
will have a Skype conference call to discuss code corrections and
creating doc tests for OSHIP. I will send a more detailed agenda to the
mailing list on Monday. I will also have (mostly) completed the
datatypes.py module with example doc tests in the oship/openehr/tests
directory NLT than Tuesday morning. Sor prior to the conference call
everyone should update their copy of the OSHIP trunk by first committing
your local changes and then issuing the command 'bzr merge lp:oship' in
order to update to the latest trunk code.
Sergio, thanks for the suggestion about the Java implementation.
However, we are not concerned at this point with everyone learning all
about the reference model. We ARE concerned with everyone learning how
to write good Python code and good simple doc tests for each particular
module. Maybe not completely comprehensive tests at this point either.
If the Interfaces are defined correctly and the classes implement the
Interfaces. Then defining a doc test for Concrete classes ONLY not the
Abstract classes (because they should never be instantiated anyway)
should be good enough for 1.0
We need to move ahead. We can plan for edge case testing for a later
version if needed.
BTW: Sergio, how is the MyOODB testing going?
Also, everyone please send me your Skype ID so I can setup the
conference.
I also want to plan another call to discuss the bigger picture regarding
the MLHIM project and make some announcements about things that haven't
even made it to the umbrella yet. https://launchpad.net/mlhim
Cheers,
Tim
