I'd like to add a vote for this as well, binary tarballs would be very
helpful. Sometimes it is necessary to sidestep the packaging system or
install into a hosting environment where you may not have full access to
the underlying OS.

Bug description:
Please provide tarballs in addition to the rpm and deb formats.

We currently use mysql's tarballs, and the lack thereof has made our transition to ourdelta more difficult than necessary.  We made a script to extract from rpm via rpm2cpio, but that's a hack -- the defaults are all off.

The rpm2cpio-based script is attached in case anybody else runs into this issues before official ourdelta tarballs become available.
