Admittedly it can be resized, but why does the default opening size need
to be so small, forcing almost every user on a monitor bigger than
640x480 to have to open it up.

Proposed solution:
use maximum height of monitor, or 75% of it, but limit the width, since this is already sufficient.

(https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/278964 was closed after resizing
was committed, but the initial size issue remains)
