Yeah, that's exactly the case. It's interesting to note that after
playback finishes, the bar takes on a new appearance as it becomes
inactive. I think the problem here is that the action that sets it to
inactive when playback finishes just needs to be called during
initialisation.

- When you first start Rhythmbox, you will see the volume slider set to
- minimum. Move the slider to the right some distance then close and
- reopen the app. The slider will be back at zero.
