My initial feeling is that Rhythmbox's library should mimic what the Unity lens show. Otherwise can be confusing.
If Unity autodiscovers music, Rhythmbox should do the same by default.

Bug description:
  For the sake of usability, Rhythmbox should have the preference option
  of "Watch my library for new files" enabled by default so people do
  not have to remember to re-import their collection.
