Alberto Salvia Novella (es20490446e) has assigned this bug to you for unity in Ubuntu:

When a document is searched from the contextual menu that appears after
pressing the super-key and clicked in order to be opened, sometimes
nothing happens if Unity 2D is being used. This problem is not present
in Unity 3D.
