INSTALL states that binaries should be in the 'db' directory. Does
that mean that when I build them, I should use the
--prefix=/path/to/db/mysql-$version as an argument to configure?

        If you prefer binaries, please put MySQL files to
db/mysql-you-version directory
        Your db/ directory might look like:

        [16:29:04 root@ubuntu db]# ls -laFh
        total 24K
        drwxr-xr-x  6 root 4.0K 2008-09-11 15:10 ./
        drwxr-xr-x  9 root 4.0K 2008-09-11 16:25 ../
