Lets try to get Phatch 0.2 in Karmic!

Hi,

I'm back from holiday. I have been busy porting the documentation from wikidot to Sphinx. So from now on all documentation should be written in restructured text and be sent to me. The new documentation is not uploaded yet, but it will happen for sure in a month.

It would be great if we can get our latest effort in Ubuntu Karmic. First we should make Phatch feature complete. So any feature we can complete before the deadline (27/8) will be accepted:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/phatch/0.2

After that we will only do bug fixes until october to ensure Phatch 0.2 is a quality release in Karmic.

Please note that we should be ready a few days before the 27th as splitting the packages will be some extra work which needs to be done before we can submit.

If there any blueprint you'd like to work on from the 0.2 list, please let me know. Now it is your chance! Don't worry if the blueprint was assigned to someone else, as now only time matters. After that let's squash all the bugs, as Phatch 0.2 will find its way into all major linux distributions.

Best regards,
Stani

 Hi,
Phatch development has been very busy the last half year. New developers
joined and now it is a team effort. I have been pushing beta previews of
the new release for a while in my PPA, so it could be already heavily
tested. I see 27th of august is feature freeze for Karmic. I would love
to get Phatch 0.2 still in Karmic, but I'd like to get as much time as
possible. Is it still possible to get Phatch 0.2 in Karmic? If yes,
there are still some minor features which needs to be implemented and
some bugs to get fixed. So would I be right to concentrate now first on
implementing the features and release the bug fix(es) later?

Hi Stani,

You can get it in until 27th August (Feature Freeze). After that, only bug fix
releases can be uploaded. So it would be fine if you concentrate mostly in
finishing those new features, release something (0.2 or 1.1.99 or whatever), and
get it into Karmic. After that, you can start doing bugfix releases, and get all
uploaded into Karmic until October 15th or so (Final Freeze) or 22nd (RC).

Cheers!
Emilio
