Is there a way or a mod that would allow the "number" of articles in a category to be posted.

For example: If someone was looking at a site that had several articles in different categories and they wanted to let people know how many articles were in each particular category by having the number next to that category.

I know that when you look at the main page of phpns in the statistics area several items are tallied and it shows how many items are in each category.

If I need to explain further let me know
