Thanks that you have took the time to report the bug to help improve Ubuntu.
Unfortunately, Ubuntu 12.04 ESM reached its end of life in April 2019.

We will set the state to "Won't Fix".

If you are still experiencing this issue or believe the problem persists
in a supported release, please respond to my comment to open the bug
