yes I see this problem too, although I don't know yet how to fix it, as
the config system in the debian kernel build system is still somewhat
mysterious to me. tomorrow is kernel day.

Bug description:
Please add support for dm_crypt so the kernel can mount encrypted partitions. The current kernel ends up in a maintenance shell, with the error: "unable to find suitable fs in /proc/mounts".
