I cannot reproduce this with the latest dev iso 2010-01-11 (evening) on
a fresh liveUSB.

Are you able to use ctrl-alt-F2 to get to a terminal and log in that
way?  If so, attaching the end of gdm and Xorg logs would be useful
maybe.

Bug description:
it's impossible to login after logout, computer gets stuck on the login screen, no icon, choosing restart or shutdown from menu in the bottom right also does not work (see attached screenshot).
(using latest dev iso from 9 january)
