Hello Frank,

I think the automatic restoration of the main window's state, i.e.
position and visibility of docks and apparently the menu bar, has
triggered this. The only other automatic function hiding the menu bar is
by checking the "Toggle tool bars and menu bar with fullscreen" option
on the interface tab.

In any case, you can completely wipe your changes by remove (or just
renaming for a start) the configuration file usually located at
"~/.config/qpdfview/qpdfview.conf". But also just removing the entry
"state" from the section "mainWindow" might be enough to restore the
menu bar and afterwards you should be save be disabling the shortcut.
