Sorry I open this old question, which appears marked as solved but i find the same behaviour on qpdfview 0.4.14.

"trunk revision 1978 or later should contain the change"

What does this mean, did the change (the wished feature) already came or
not yet?

It seems it did not. But, if you excuse me, I ask again:

Is there a way to stop a text window from opening up after selecting
"Add highlight"?
