Message #00061
(Pre-)releasing Qreator 13.05.1
Hey,
I've been preparing the long due GTK-based release, which I wanted to
get out of the door before switching focus to the converged (i.e.
QML-based) codebase.
# Current status:
- Released Qreator 13.05.1 [1]
- Packages for Precise, Quantal, Raring and Saucy are available from
the qreator-hackers/qreator-stable PPA
- The same for the qreator-hackers/qreator-daily PPA (i.e. added a
Saucy build)
- Raring package available for download on the front Launchpad page
- Release announcement written, but not widely published yet
So in summary, everything is ready for the announcement, but I wanted to
do some testing to ensure there are no catastrophical failures in the
release.
I've also set up a bug fix milestone to be released shortly afterwards
to resolve any critical (or bitesize) issues post .1 release:
https://launchpad.net/qreator/+milestone/13.05.2
# To do:
- Check that the Precise and Quantal packages are indeed working
- Check if the Raring package in the front page is installable on
older systems (i.e. Precise)
# Release notes
The release announcement reads:
«We're proud to present the new version of Qreator, the QR code creator
for Ubuntu, including:

- Added new QR code types: Business card, Phone Call and Messaging,

- Added printing support
- QR code type: autodetection of active wifi networks
- URL code type: URL shortening support
- QR codes are now editable: change the
- Added drag and drop support (i.e. drag and drop QR codes to save them)
Enjoy!»
Thanks to everyone who have participated in this release. I've made sure
I've credited your contributions visibly in the app's About dialog.
Especially to Stefan Schwarzburg, who effectively made this release
possible.
Cheers,
David.
