  I chose the port which is used for SSL connections when this happened.
  "Don't check for avatars" was disabled. Maybe the password was wrong.
  Facebook chat via XMPP/Jabber works fine. I can't reproduce this as now
  it keeps displayer "connecting" forever without error message or crash.
