Alternatively, perhaps "/etc/init.d/apache force-reload" should be used
to simply reload instead of restart. Since this rapache is primarily for
Ubuntu at this stage, as far as I know, that command can be assumed.

use "apache2ctl -k graceful" so that current users are not disconnected by apache being restarted

from man page  "apachectl  script  returns a 0 exit value on success, and >0"
