Re: Upgrade and Installation error
Fedora / Korora need PyQt5 installed from Pypi because otherwise whenever
the program exits, it always segfaults. Which is not good. When I last
looked, there appears to be a problem with the PyQt5 package in the Fedora
repositories, but I was unable to determine the cause of it because I was
not able to installed the debug packages for Python on Fedora.
It might be that you have a permissions problem under ~/.local, with some
directories owned by root. I've seen that with some other users. Try the
latest install script, which fixes the problem. You can get it from:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~dlynch3/rapid/zeromq_pyqt/files
Click the down arrow on the far right of the screen on the "install.py"
line.
Best,
Damon
