I want to ask how to register a branch in rednotebook

I can't find the related topics or manual about this,
about Branch URL:
The external location where the Bazaar branch is hosted. It is None when the
branch is hosted by Launchpad.

I don't know what's the exactly means, any suggestions will be
appreciated,Thanks!
