No, I don't believe there is an upstream bug log, but I can do one
better. I just read Linus' release note for 2.6.35-rc2 and I came across
this:

That second line is the patch I mentioned in comment #26, so it looks
like this fix will be part of 2.6.35 and a recent announcement stated
that that will be Maverick's kernel version.
