[Bug 524454] Re: Networking is disabled on boot (usually after suspend/hibernate)

 

I recently tried to suspend my system. There seems to be a problem with
unsuspending, so I hard-resetted my system. After the reboot the nm-
applet started even tough I never use it and therefore disabled in
AutoStart-Programs. In this state, all programs assumed offline-mode
(firefox, pidgin, ...). After a while I started nm-applet manually and
clicked on "enable network". This solved my problem permanently. (I
won't try suspend anymore as Ubuntu seems unable to reset the
disconnected-state itself)
