[Bug 390528] Re: pulseaudio keeps complaining: module-console-kit.c: GetUnixUser() call failed: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "GetUnixUser" with signature "" on interface "org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Session" doesn't exist
Before I tried comment #11 sound preference app never comes up. It is
waiting for to come up.
After trying comment #11, sound daemon is started, but it doesn't know
about any sound devices.
Here is the message in syslog repeated hundreds of time before I applied
#11.
pulseaudio[2789]: module-console-kit.c: GetSessionsForUnixUser() call failed: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ExecFailed: Failed to execute program /lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper: Success
Jun 17 16:22:43 zzz pulseaudio[2789]: module.c: Failed to load module "module-console-kit" (argument: ""): initialization failed.
I'm running a fresh install on
Linux zzz 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 19:31:57 UTC 2010
