[Bug 596402] Re: Nouveau driver works horrible on Nvidia Geforce2

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please run the command 'apport-collect 596402' from the
Terminal (Applications>Accessories>Terminal) which will attach necessary
information for debugging this as an Xorg problem. Thanks in advance.

Ps. I removed your email from the report to avoid spam.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau

Ubutnu allways worked fine on mi pc until the new Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, where you put Nouveau driver as default, who works very bad for me, instead of the classic driver I get on System->Administration->Hardware Drivers. The problem starts when I introduce the Live CD and the mouse doesnt worked, and I have to install only with the keyboard. Also the installation was very slow too, compared with other versions of Ubuntu, and in the end the pc freezes including the keyboard and I have to reboot with the power button. Then I turn on my pc and starts Ubuntu, all good up there, but 10 seconds after it freezes and I have to reboot again.
After this, I also tried Linux Mint 9, Ubuntu Studio 10.04 and Fedora 13 but with all the same problem because all uses nouveau; I can only work on recovery mode.
