A patch for this bug seems to have been available for over a month now,
yet it's still not fixed in 10.04 and it seems the fix isn't currently
in the 10.10 tree either (both seem to be at "1.3.12-9ubuntu1").

Has there been any progress with this - I can't move my development
system to 10.04 until this is fixed, it's breaking the embedded Linux
build system I use.
