[Bug 611027] [NEW] no headphone sound asus a3a laptop
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I have no sound when using my audio out mini-jack to HiFi. This setup
works fine in That Other Operating System (TOOS), notably the X-ray Papa
version.
There was sound from my built-in speakers initially, but that disappeared after either a System Test or a failed attempt at running the line
apport-collect -p alsa-driver 367149
The system said something about me not being the user who submitted the problem. Now there is absolutely no sound, and I'm not sure if the problem wasn't maybe caused by the Test itself?
One thing I noticed, there is a red light shining inside the jack output
plug while I'm using TOOS, which is dead when in Ubuntu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really want to install Ubuntu
and stay away from TOOS if possible.
Greetings
Adriaan de Beer
