[Bug 599754] Re: fail installing unity in ubuntu 10.04 (wiki)

 

I have seen this problem once quite a few months ago. added the affcted
package i.e. software-properties

  in 10.04 this comand:
  
  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-dx-team/une
  
  adds "n" in line 2 in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/canonical-dx-team-une-
  lucid.list. after that the sorce list is broken. the comand is a part of

- Unity is primarily built for maverick (10.10), but we are conscious that
- some people want to test it on lucid. For those, we have setup a PPA and
- backport unity component to lucid.

- Note: The Unity PPA brings in some lower level components that we need

- being able to downgrade multiple packages if you want to go back to a
