I've been getting this error for nearly two days now, even after
installing the dosfstools (lucid) from your ppa. I've tried formatting
the disk in ubuntu, windows, destroying the partitions using diskpart in
windows and then recreating them. The funny thing is that my laptop is
able to recognize my thumb drive and boot in to it, but it's my core 2
duo pc that's killing me.

Is there something you can do to help me on this?
