[Bug 566710] Re: package firebird2.1-classic 2.1.3.18185-0.ds1-6build1 failed to install/upgrade: on ubuntu 9.10->10.04 B2 upgrade
Following a "setting up firebird on ubuntu' document the following
command sequence is supposed to set up the firebird server.
root@iru-2cd:/var/run/firebird/2.1# apt-get install firebird2.1-classic
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
firebird2.1-classic is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 33 not upgraded.
root@iru-2cd:/var/run/firebird/2.1# dpkg-reconfigure firebird2.1-classic
* Preparing /var/run/firebird/2.1... [ OK ]
root@iru-2cd:/var/run/firebird/2.1#
Supposedly it should result in the following messages and the server
should be configured. Nothing message, and no server task (after
reboot).
* Firebird 2.1 server manager not running.
* Starting Firebird 2.1 server manager... [ OK ]
* Firebird 2.1 server manager already running.
